Ashling v XII Men 20th September
2009 The Twelfth Men's bowling attack was among the best faced all season with no obvious weaknesses and relentlessly accurate throughout the innings. Useful knocks from Aussie Tom Sully (42) and Paul Colley (38 not out), following a rapid 25 fron Nic Loubser, gave Ashling some sort of total to defend although there was a feeling that progress had been too slow. With two wickets falling without a run on the board, it looked like the day might turn out well for Ashling after all, and the match continued in the balance up to the point where number seven batsman Blacoe came to the crease. He eventually ended up with 52, with able support from Saleem (36) and XII Man ran out comfortable victors. |
