Milland v Ashling 7 August 2011 Ashling won by 7 wickets We won the toss and put the home side in to bat on what looked like a lively wicket. None of the Milland batsmen got to grips with it and they were soon in trouble after a sharp opening spell from Tom Ballingal. Steve Harvey (3-15) bowled 3 top order batsmen with Henry Slatter (3-14) wiighing in along with Peter Smith (2-7). Very little was put down in the field with a number of sharp catches being held. All in all a fine bowling and fielding performance. Nic
Loubser (60 not out) helped us cruise to victory with 17
overs to spare. Sri Lankan Josh Reynolds livened things
up a bit by taking two wickets in consecutive balls (D.
Cooke bowled 0!) but the result was never in doubt as
Paul Colley hit the winning runs with a six over square
