IOh dear dear dear. What a difference a week makes. Only a week after his triumphant return women and small children now shun Nic Loubser in the streets. "Who's that man daddy?" they ask their ashen-faced fathers. Most turn away muttering under their breath "that's the man who played across a straight one and let the whole town down when we didn't have much batting." Actually "not much" might be overplaying it; try "none, except Tom Ballingal(23)." The rest of us got skittled. 'Nuff said.

Lavant knocked off the runs without having to try too hard although Loubser did make a few pathetic attempts to restore his reputation by taking a couple of wickets. It was too little too late though as Ashling slid to their biggest defeat in years.
