Ashling v Hants V Volunteers 16th May 2010 Ashling won by 6 wickets The second game of the season brought the first win with Ashling chasing down the required runs with 15 overs to spare in this 40 over contest. Falmer (25) and Saunders (23) were the only batsmen to make an impression with some impressive bowling figures turned in by Ashling: Tom Balingal and adam Shaul conceded only 8 runs between then during the opening ten overs. Richard Adams then took 3 for 12 in 6 overs, Henry Slatter took 3 for 32, Steve Harvey 2 for 15 and Craig Hillier 2 for 20. Hants had a brief glimpse of a surprise victory when Chris Cranna, Mike Neville and Leigh O'Brien went cheaply. Dan Cooke's 10 was useful, but once Richard Adams had played himself in his 43 not out steered Ashling home, supported by Paul Colley who did his averages no harm by remaining 9 not out at the end
